Once you step foot in this hole in the wall you'd think you've just interrupted an eastern European small arms trafficking meeting, all in the heart of Key West! Can someone say "record scratch"? Brutha, this food will even make an animal rights activist burn their parents (George Castanza) to get ahold of the lamb kabobs and goat cheese! DUDE. it's a Uzbekistan-Turkish-Mediterranean-Italian melting pot stacked with some of the largest portions your late night drunken ass can shovel down your puss! 5 stars for taste and originality.

3.5 Who knew that Key West had an industrial area? It was when stumbling around the other side of the key after a long day that my group came upon KC. It was rather stark but I was tired and hungry and wasn't pay (too) much attention to the surroundings. Another thing I found odd, though: this Mediterranean cafe was run by... Russians?* Seriously. I wasn't drinking. My head wasn't cloudy. Unless the gentleman with whom we were interacting was messing with us, we were being waited on (with food prepared) by Russians. No value judgement. It's just... odd. I spent a summer in the former Soviet Union. I used to be able to speak Russian. I (sort of) know from Russian. Mediterranean food isn't their jam (one would think). The service was brusque and the menu's all over the place: salads, sandwiches, pasta, gyros... nothing made sense. Like mentioned, I was tired so i settled for the chicken gyro sandwich and chose the (roasted) potato salad for my side. The sandwich was serviceable if not somewhat undersized and overpriced. The star of my plate was/were the roasted potatoes... to the surprise of no one. If in the area and if hungry... you could do worse... but I'd get the food to go. Eating here was a gray chore. The menu makes mention of Uzbek cuisine. Yet, the man we dealt with clearly said he was Russian.

Every chain pizza restaurant in the US is wayyyyyyy better than this trash food, I promise that you will be disappointed and feel ripped off!!!!!! To be specific they claim to make a calzone but it's about 2 pounds of uncooked dough with a few cold pieces of whatever they put in it. The pizza was horrible too!!! So we stumbled into this place, and I am glad we found it. We ordered the Tavook Kebab and the Combo Kebab ($16 and $20 respectively) for our family of 4. The Combo comes with chicken, beef, and lamb along with a unique fried rice that has garbanzo beens, carrots, and raisins. It's a fantastic combination that makes even the carb watchers crave for more. The Baklava.... wow... was scrumptious, and it is made on site. The location/ambiance can use a little... well, a lot of help. All in all, the food was served in ample quantities and I would recommend this to my friends as a great option.

We had breakfast. Egg sandwiches are sort of "pannini'd" on Cuban bread (naturally in kw) and come in the usual combinations. I had a salami egg and cheese which I habe not come across before but it was quite tasty. Salami was of substantial thickness and was kind of crisped at the edges giving it a nice bite. Nothing ground breaking about the breakfast menu but everything my party had was good. Sort of a stark looking plaza and definitely not in the mainstream part of town. Service was good.

This place is a hidden secret away from the chaos of Old Town. The value is excellent with generous portions. The baklava is outstanding and a great value. Instead of a triangle portion of the baklava dessert, you get a whole square that is wonderfully stuffed with walnuts and honey. I wish they had one near my home because I definitely would be a weekly regular.

This review is for delivery. Food arrived in about 30 min or so. We had the food delivered to our hotel and it was all so tastey and flavorful. We ordered the Lamb Iskander, Munti, and Hummus with Pita. The food was well seasoned and tasty. It was our first time trying munti (meat dumplings) and iskander. We loved the iskander, which came with sides of rice, seasoned baked potatoes, and veggies along with tzaziki sauce. Iskander was basically well-seasoned lamb (a recipe online says paprika, cumin, coriander, etc). The munti was ok, but not as flavorful as the iskander. Munti reminded me of ravioli -- a noodle outside with meat filling and some sauce on top. But just folded differently. The hummus had plenty of spices adding extra flavor. Also included in our meal was turkish bread (so delicious and dense!) and ayran salted yogurt drink (tastes like tzaziki sauce in drink form.... not so delicious...but my special someone has acquired a taste for it, Lol).

Today after almost six months we tired Kennedy Cafe again. Coffee was cold and the service sucked. The grade of food has also gone down. They will not be in business next year. Poor Service. Had to ask for a fork, knife, and a spoon. Oh wait my wife got those items from the table next to us. Very unfriendly and never once came back and ask if we wanted anything. Last trip will we ever make to Kennedy Cafe.

A gem in a mall you would never expect to find, there are a lot of good restaurants in mid town. Why? Because the dont automatically get walk ins like all the places in old town do, they actually have to compete. But I have to say, after living in KW 5 months, this is in my top 3 favorites. Flavors nice, prepared always with care, quality of produce, far better than you could ever expect, because all of the prices are to impress and bring you back. Trust me you will. I support this restaurant regularly, like their friendly eastern folks. I get the shrimp sub mash, always get some kind of amazing bread for free, and feel super happy to tip the nice servers. The service was friendly although it did take a few minutes before the girl came over to our table but menus are on tables! After that she was attentive refilling our drinks several times! I had the Chicken Doner on house made Uzbek bread. It was tasty, the bread was fresh, the white sauce was yummy and garlicy and the side of potato salad was great with fresh dill in it! We were staying nearby and called in our order after reviewing yelp. Good thing we called in for carryout as the power went out on the block! Friendly customer service. We had a small cheese pizza and a regular gyro. Pizza was okay, a little dry but not greasy. The gyro was huge, but good. Never had seen a gyro so large and was a little greasy. Worth a try if staying nearby, wouldn't drive out of the way to try it.

I cannot remember a better meal for the price. Now, the reason for the three stars....... The food was so good, I decided to go back the next day for breakfast. I arrived at 7:30. This is the time they open. I walked in, and the server took a minute to notice me. When she did, I asked if they were open. She looked at the clock. It said 7.35. She kind of rolled her eyes and said no, the cook just got here. I said, ok, how long until you are open? She said "what do you want?". I said I don't know, I need to see a menu. She rolled her eyes again and started to walk off, presumably to get a menu. I said forget it I will be back. I went around the corner to the crepe place and had an excellent breakfast sandwich with French press coffee and superior service. Lunch is great, hope you don't get that wench at breakfast though.

Very authentic tasting and hardy. The delivery was lightening speed and the driver was very friendly. My only complaint was I called back to order extra sauce, I love the sauce, and they forgot it. A little disappointing, but it didn't take away from the quality of the food.

This place was empty when we visited, but we had the nicest Russian waitress. The food here is interesting. It seemed very authentic, and as such our palates were not accustomed to it. Everything was very natural and fresh. Almost no salt, and not spicy. I think if you want to try something legitimate, this is a great place and the servings are quite large. In addition to Uzbek food they have a lot of American style entrees which we did not try.

Totally hidden away, this is a gem! Traditional eastern european dishes that will delight! We got the eggplant dip (not like a baba ghanouj, but more like a bruschetta). It had eggplant, tomatoes, onion, roasted red pepper, garlic and basil. It was amazing!! Served with traditional Uzbekistan bread, I can't recommend it enough! I had the chicken doner: spiced chicken, tzatziki, cucumber, tomato, and red onion served on Uzbek bread with a side of potato salad. My friend got the tabbouleh salad which again had toms, onions and cukes. Both of us loved our meals! It's not out of the way, but it's on the other end of the island from Duvall Street; so if you're feeling adventurous and can find it, go there! You won't be disappointed! They deliver and are open late.

Really fantastic, got the chicken shwarma on the uzbek bread with the white garlic sauce. It was the perfect thing after an awful stressful night at the emergency room with my friend who got stung by a sting ray out lion fish. I may be stuck here for a while and if so in ordering from them again.

Totally hidden away, this is a gem! Traditional eastern european dishes that will delight! We got the eggplant dip (not like a baba ghanouj, but more like a bruschetta). It had eggplant, tomatoes, onion, roasted red pepper, garlic and basil. It was amazing!! Served with traditional Uzbekistan bread, I can't recommend it enough! I had the chicken doner: spiced chicken, tzatziki, cucumber, tomato, and red onion served on Uzbek bread with a side of potato salad. My friend got the tabbouleh salad which again had toms, onions and cukes. Both of us loved our meals! It's not out of the way, but it's on the other end of the island from Duvall Street; so if you're feeling adventurous and can find it, go there! You won't be disappointed! They deliver and are open late.

This place was empty when we visited, but we had the nicest Russian waitress. The food here is interesting. It seemed very authentic, and as such our palates were not accustomed to it. Everything was very natural and fresh. Almost no salt, and not spicy. I think if you want to try something legitimate, this is a great place and the servings are quite large. In addition to Uzbek food they have a lot of American style entrees which we did not try.

3.5 Who knew that Key West had an industrial area? It was when stumbling around the other side of the key after a long day that my group came upon KC. It was rather stark but I was tired and hungry and wasn't pay (too) much attention to the surroundings. Another thing I found odd, though: this Mediterranean cafe was run by... Russians?* Seriously. I wasn't drinking. My head wasn't cloudy. Unless the gentleman with whom we were interacting was messing with us, we were being waited on (with food prepared) by Russians. No value judgement. It's just... odd. I spent a summer in the former Soviet Union. I used to be able to speak Russian. I (sort of) know from Russian. Mediterranean food isn't their jam (one would think). The service was brusque and the menu's all over the place: salads, sandwiches, pasta, gyros... nothing made sense. Like mentioned, I was tired so i settled for the chicken gyro sandwich and chose the (roasted) potato salad for my side. The sandwich was serviceable if not somewhat undersized and overpriced. The star of my plate was/were the roasted potatoes... to the surprise of no one. If in the area and if hungry... you could do worse... but I'd get the food to go. Eating here was a gray chore. The menu makes mention of Uzbek cuisine. Yet, the man we dealt with clearly said he was Russian.

To be specific they claim to make a calzone but it's about 2 pounds of uncooked dough with a few cold pieces of whatever they put in it. The pizza was horrible too!!! So we stumbled into this place, and I am glad we found it. We ordered the Tavook Kebab and the Combo Kebab ($16 and $20 respectively) for our family of 4. The Combo comes with chicken, beef, and lamb along with a unique fried rice that has garbanzo beens, carrots, and raisins. It's a fantastic combination that makes even the carb watchers crave for more. The Baklava.... wow... was scrumptious, and it is made on site. The location/ambiance can use a little... well, a lot of help. All in all, the food was served in ample quantities and I would recommend this to my friends as a great option.

We had breakfast. Egg sandwiches are sort of "pannini'd" on Cuban bread (naturally in kw) and come in the usual combinations. Instead of a triangle portion of the baklava dessert, you get a whole square that is wonderfully stuffed with walnuts and honey. This review is for delivery. Food arrived in about 30 min or so. We had the food delivered to our hotel and it was all so tastey and flavorful. We ordered the Lamb Iskander, Munti, and Hummus with Pita. The food was well seasoned and tasty. It was our first time trying munti (meat dumplings) and iskander. We loved the iskander, which came with sides of rice, seasoned baked potatoes, and veggies along with tzaziki sauce. Iskander was basically well-seasoned lamb (a recipe online says paprika, cumin, coriander, etc). The munti was ok, but not as flavorful as the iskander. Munti reminded me of ravioli -- a noodle outside with meat filling and some sauce on top. But just folded differently. The hummus had plenty of spices adding extra flavor. Also included in our meal was turkish bread (so delicious and dense!) and ayran salted yogurt drink (tastes like tzaziki sauce in drink form.... not so delicious...but my special someone has acquired a taste for it, Lol).

A gem in a mall you would never expect to find, there are a lot of good restaurants in mid town. Why? Because the dont automatically get walk ins like all the places in old town do, they actually have to compete. But I have to say, after living in KW 5 months, this is in my top 3 favorites. Flavors nice, prepared always with care, quality of produce, far better than you could ever expect, because all of the prices are to impress and bring you back. Trust me you will. I support this restaurant regularly, like their friendly eastern folks. I get the shrimp sub mash, always get some kind of amazing bread for free, and feel super happy to tip the nice servers. The service was friendly although it did take a few minutes before the girl came over to our table but menus are on tables! After that she was attentive refilling our drinks several times! I had the Chicken Doner on house made Uzbek bread. It was tasty, the bread was fresh, the white sauce was yummy and garlicy and the side of potato salad was great with fresh dill in it! She kind of rolled her eyes and said no, the cook just got here. I said, ok, how long until you are open? She said "what do you want?". I said I don't know, I need to see a menu. She rolled her eyes again and started to walk off, presumably to get a menu. I said forget it I will be back. I went around the corner to the crepe place and had an excellent breakfast sandwich with French press coffee and superior service. Lunch is great, hope you don't get that wench at breakfast though.

Every chain pizza restaurant in the US is wayyyyyyy better than this trash food, I promise that you will be disappointed and feel ripped off!!!!!! To be specific they claim to make a calzone but it's about 2 pounds of uncooked dough with a few cold pieces of whatever they put in it. The pizza was horrible too!!! These kind of places make me sick, the 4 stars they have on here at this point are a total joke.

So we stumbled into this place, and I am glad we found it. We ordered the Tavook Kebab and the Combo Kebab ($16 and $20 respectively) for our family of 4. The Combo comes with chicken, beef, and lamb along with a unique fried rice that has garbanzo beens, carrots, and raisins. It's a fantastic combination that makes even the carb watchers crave for more. The Baklava.... wow... was scrumptious, and it is made on site. The location/ambiance can use a little... well, a lot of help. All in all, the food was served in ample quantities and I would recommend this to my friends as a great option.

This review is for delivery. Food arrived in about 30 min or so. We had the food delivered to our hotel and it was all so tastey and flavorful. We ordered the Lamb Iskander, Munti, and Hummus with Pita. The food was well seasoned and tasty. It was our first time trying munti (meat dumplings) and iskander. We loved the iskander, which came with sides of rice, seasoned baked potatoes, and veggies along with tzaziki sauce. Iskander was basically well-seasoned lamb (a recipe online says paprika, cumin, coriander, etc). The munti was ok, but not as flavorful as the iskander. Munti reminded me of ravioli -- a noodle outside with meat filling and some sauce on top. But just folded differently. The hummus had plenty of spices adding extra flavor. Also included in our meal was turkish bread (so delicious and dense!) and ayran salted yogurt drink (tastes like tzaziki sauce in drink form.... not so delicious...but my special someone has acquired a taste for it, Lol).

Was empty when we came in around 5pm, so i was worried, but it filled up slowly, its a local place. Portions, quality, and service was all great. Server was super nice and answered all our questions. I got the gyro platter, they separate the ingredients so you can make it as big as you want. We had a great dinner, we will be coming back with friends.

Today after almost six months we tired Kennedy Cafe again. Coffee was cold and the service sucked. The grade of food has also gone down. They will not be in business next year. Poor Service. Had to ask for a fork, knife, and a spoon. Oh wait my wife got those items from the table next to us. Very unfriendly and never once came back and ask if we wanted anything. Last trip will we ever make to Kennedy Cafe.

A gem in a mall you would never expect to find, there are a lot of good restaurants in mid town. Why? Because the dont automatically get walk ins like all the places in old town do, they actually have to compete. But I have to say, after living in KW 5 months, this is in my top 3 favorites. Flavors nice, prepared always with care, quality of produce, far better than you could ever expect, because all of the prices are to impress and bring you back. Trust me you will. I support this restaurant regularly, like their friendly eastern folks. I get the shrimp sub mash, always get some kind of amazing bread for free, and feel super happy to tip the nice servers. Excellent choice for the wise.

We found this cafe through yelp and decided to give it a try after seeing they offered Mediterranean Uzbek - Turkish as well as Italian cuisines! The service was friendly although it did take a few minutes before the girl came over to our table but menus are on tables! After that she was attentive refilling our drinks several times! I had the Chicken Doner on house made Uzbek bread. It was tasty, the bread was fresh, the white sauce was yummy and garlicy and the side of potato salad was great with fresh dill in it! My husband had the Meat Stromboli, it's was huge and packed with meat and cheese with a side of marinara for dipping! They also deliver!!! An excellent kabab place tucked away off of a side street from route 1. This place had plenty of indoor seating and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and the environment was casual. Also their lamb meat is halal.

We were staying nearby and called in our order after reviewing yelp. Good thing we called in for carryout as the power went out on the block! Friendly customer service. We had a small cheese pizza and a regular gyro. Pizza was okay, a little dry but not greasy. The gyro was huge, but good. Never had seen a gyro so large and was a little greasy. Worth a try if staying nearby, wouldn't drive out of the way to try it.

Wow! What a find! I had a delicious fish sandwich after a long day of work, and it came with fries that were super tasty. I know that's not the hardest thing in the world to do, but when you're starving, delicious fries can really top off a delicious sammich. Not much to say, just delicious, no frills food.

Food here was excellent. Had the gyro platter for lunch. Portion was HUGE! Meat was good. Pita was good. Rice was good. Salad was good. Service was good. I would go back in a heartbeat. I cannot remember a better meal for the price. Now, the reason for the three stars....... The food was so good, I decided to go back the next day for breakfast. I arrived at 7:30. This is the time they open. I walked in, and the server took a minute to notice me. When she did, I asked if they were open. She looked at the clock. It said 7.35. She kind of rolled her eyes and said no, the cook just got here. I said, ok, how long until you are open? She said "what do you want?". I said I don't know, I need to see a menu. She rolled her eyes again and started to walk off, presumably to get a menu. I said forget it I will be back. I went around the corner to the crepe place and had an excellent breakfast sandwich with French press coffee and superior service. Lunch is great, hope you don't get that wench at breakfast though.

This place is a hidden secret away from the chaos of Old Town. The value is excellent with generous portions. The baklava is outstanding and a great value. Instead of a triangle portion of the baklava dessert, you get a whole square that is wonderfully stuffed with walnuts and honey. I wish they had one near my home because I definitely would be a weekly regular.

Amazing experience with a large party. The staff is professional and genuinely passionate about the food. Dining here feels like a family affair, and the meals are prepared like you're visiting the chef's homes. The waitress we had was extremely caring and attentive, and the food was phenomenal. This is the best meal I've had in Key West!

After a long day of travel and an afternoon at the pool, my husband and I were exhausted, and decided to order in. We ordered the gyro platter, farfal, and hummus. Everything was delicious! Very authentic tasting and hardy. The delivery was lightening speed and the driver was very friendly. My only complaint was I called back to order extra sauce, I love the sauce, and they forgot it. A little disappointing, but it didn't take away from the quality of the food.

This place was good, but not great. We had the hummus - which was served with bread. Interesting, wouldn't order again. Then we had a pizza - half gyro and half supreme. The supreme half was GREAT! The other half? No comment. All in all it was good, but I definitely wouldn't be coming back next time I'm in Key West. If you're staying near, try it. If it's a trek, then stop elsewhere :)

Really fantastic, got the chicken shwarma on the uzbek bread with the white garlic sauce. It was the perfect thing after an awful stressful night at the emergency room with my friend who got stung by a sting ray out lion fish. I may be stuck here for a while and if so in ordering from them again.

Totally hidden away, this is a gem! Traditional eastern european dishes that will delight! We got the eggplant dip (not like a baba ghanouj, but more like a bruschetta). It had eggplant, tomatoes, onion, roasted red pepper, garlic and basil. It was amazing!! Served with traditional Uzbekistan bread, I can't recommend it enough! I had the chicken doner: spiced chicken, tzatziki, cucumber, tomato, and red onion served on Uzbek bread with a side of potato salad. My friend got the tabbouleh salad which again had toms, onions and cukes. Both of us loved our meals! It's not out of the way, but it's on the other end of the island from Duvall Street; so if you're feeling adventurous and can find it, go there! You won't be disappointed! They deliver and are open late.

This place was empty when we visited, but we had the nicest Russian waitress. The food here is interesting. It seemed very authentic, and as such our palates were not accustomed to it. Everything was very natural and fresh. Almost no salt, and not spicy. I think if you want to try something legitimate, this is a great place and the servings are quite large. In addition to Uzbek food they have a lot of American style entrees which we did not try.
